Description
This tag is our longest maxi tag. It sits straight in the ear and highly visual tag from the front or rear of the animal. It is a popular tag for more intense livestock practices where large visual identification numbers are important. This tag will noticeably sit lower in the ear for longer distance identification. Well out of the way of hair.
Can be paired with large and maxi male tags, for reading from the back. With the bottom of the tag hanging below the ear it has a backside printing option for a serial/name/phone number, for maximum print visibility.
The maxi long tag is designed for the largest cattle breeds needing a tag with strength, durability and distance tag visibility. It is designed to be applied to more mature stock, particularly when paired with our large or maxi male tag.
Recommendations for Cattle:
Temperate:
- Male Tag Recommendation: Can be paired with the ETM1, ETM3 or ETM4
- Age at Application: With an ETM1 it can be applied at birth, paired with the ETM3 it is recommended to waiting until weaning, and paired with the ETM4 it can be applied to yearlings and onwards
Dairy:
- Male Tag Recommendation: Is usually paired with the ETM3 or ETM4
- Age at Application: For Dairy cattle the ETF6 tag can be applied to yearlings and onwards
